Ingredients

  • 908 g (2 packages) of Fontaine Family Ready to cook Veal Seasoned Meatballs
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) cooking oil
  • 250 ml (1 cup) sundried tomatoes, sliced lengthwise
  • 3 cloves of minced garlic
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) tomato paste
  • 250 ml (1 cup) chicken stock (Prepared by using chicken bouillon)
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) italian seasoning
  • 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) red pepper flakes
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) fresh basil for garnish

Preparation

  1. Add oil in a large skillet. Cook the meatballs on medium-high heat. Make sure to cook on all sides until browned. Once cooked, set them aside and wipe clean the skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, on medium heat, add garlic and cook until fragrant for about 30 seconds then add the tomato paste and cook for 1 more minute.
  3. Add the chicken stock and deglaze the pan.
  4. Lower the heat and add in the heavy cream, cheese, and seasonings. Allow to simmer for few minutes then add in the cooked meatballs along with the sundried tomatoes. Cover and let it cook till the sauce thickens.
  5. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
