Seasoned Flank Steak Tacos with Guacamole and Corn Salsa

  • 1 package of Fontaine Family Seasoned Veal Flank Steak (about 650 g)
  • Corn tortillas


  • 2 ripe avocados
  • Juice of one lime
  • 1 small clove of garlic, finely chopped
  • Salt
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) chopped fresh cilantro

Corn Salsa

  • 2 seeded tomatoes cut into small cubes
  • 2 seeded jalapenos, cut into small cubes
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 250 ml (1 cup) cooked corn kernels
  • Juice of one lime


  1. For the Guacamole: In a bowl, mash the avocado with a fork. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. For the Corn Salsa : Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. For the flank steak: Preheat BBQ to high. Oil the grill and place the flank steak on it. Cook for 2 to 4 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.
  4. Remove from grill and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
  5. Grill corn tortillas for 20 seconds on each side.
  6. Cut steaks into thin slices and place in tortilla.
  7. Top with guacamole and corn salsa.

Side dishes

Serve as a main course or in mini-tacos as an appetizer.

Tips and Tricks

To prevent the guacamole from oxidizing, leave the pit in the mixture and cover with plastic wrap.
